Obafemi Martins confirms move to Shanghai Shenhua

After a week of protracted negotiations between Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua and U.S football club Seattle Sounders. Obafemi Martins has finally completed his move to the Chinese League side, a move that will make him the highest earning Nigerian player on the planet.
He took to his Instagram page to thank his former employers Seattle Sounders and wish them the best for the future as he embarks on a new challenge.
He posted;
"Thank you Seattle. Thank you for everything. Thank you for the memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you for the endless love and support, during good times and bad. Thank you to my teammates and coaches for always believing in me''.
"Something I feel strongly about is challenging myself. When i came to Seattle, it was for the challenge of playing in an unknown environment. I can wholeheartedly say that I seized the opportunity in Seattle and gave everything I had for the club"
" For me it's now time for a new challenge. After significant reflection, I have decided to join Shanghai Greenland Shenhua FC of the CSL. When I left Nigeria for Italy at age fifteen with the hopes of a pro-career, I put everything on the line. I was immersed in an unknown culture. It may be difficult to understand or relate to, but I've grown to appreciate the feeling I get when entering environments where I'm not a proven footballer"

Musicians and Actors are not the only crazy ones; Radamel Falcao forces hairdresser to travel 200 miles for emergency 'blowdry'

Seems Musicains and Actors are not the only crazy people on the planet, neither is Cristiano Ronaldo the only vain footballer on the earth's surface!
Chelsea's on-loan striker Radamel Falcao, told a hairdresser also used by Ronaldo to fly from Manchester to London, a 200 mile trip just to blow dry his hair.
Speaking about the last minute dash, the hair stylist revelaed;
" I was more than happy to help Radamel out with his emergency. He does love the Brazillian blow dry treatment that we offer. The treatment is revoluntionay. It smooths and sleeks the hair, giving the client manageable hair that takes very little styling. It took around two hours to do but the results will last a couple of months"
Ed styled him last year for the big red carpet Player of the Year event at Man Utd., chopping off Falcao's shoulder-length locks for the first time in nine years. The hairdresse was introduced to Falcao by fellow football star, Cristiano Ronaldo, who is also a big fan of the hairstylist.

How My Arsenal Spell Opened Doors for other African Players

Nigeria's football legend, Kanu Nwankwo, says his success at Arsenal 'opened the doors' for more African footballers to play in the Premier League. Today, February 18th, marks the 17th anniversary of Kanu signing for the club, and the 39-year-old has fond memories of his time in north London.
The former Nigerian striker joined the Gunners in 1999 and went on to score 44 goals in 198 appearances, helping the Gunners lift two Premier League trophies and two FA Cups during his five years at the club.
''I believe I was the first African person who came to England and did very well", "After that, the doors opened for African talent so, with Arsenal behind me and what we did with Arsenal, everybody now tends to follow the English league.
Everybody believes that English football is all about playing the ball up, not keeping it on the ground, but Arsene has his own idea of football and it made it easier for us. He wanted us to play football the right way, he wanted us to enjoy it by passing the ball around, and that's what we did. It was easy to adjust when you saw the fans. The supporters are behind you and they love you and what you are doing and that means you have to do more. If you keep doing more, they keep loving you and it was very easy for them to adopt me.
"I had the skills and the tricks the fans really love". When i left Arsenal, i still had the fans on my mind and since then I've been supporting the club.
