The Nigerian contingent to the 2016 Paralympic Games, has arrived in Rio, Brazil. The team comprising of 23 athletes, and 12 officials, departed Abuja on September 1st en-route their journey to Brazil.
A statement by the special assistant, Media to Solomon Dalung, Minister of Youths and Sports, Nneka Anibeze, said the team promised to win medals for the country.
Out of the 23 athletes, 6 athletes will feature in Para-Athletes, 14 in Para-powerlifting, while 3 will take part in Para-Table Tennis. will represent the country in the Games.
