Cristiano Ronaldo, limped out of Real Madrid's training Tuesday morning, in what appears to be an injury just days before the Champions League Final match.
His readiness for Saturday's final, has been questioned thus. He has however, come out to state that he will be fit for the Final match.
The Portuguese captain, came off worse after a clash with goalkeeper, Kiko Castillas during an open training session. He then hobbled back to the changing room, after being examined by the club's medical staff.
Today's incidence makes a total of three training events in which Ronaldo has failed to complete, after he was substituted at half time during Madrid's last league match.
The 31-year-old, is however adamant, and says he will be ready in time for Atletico Madrid in Milan. "I had a little scare... but in a couple of days, I will be fine" - he said.
"I've had a little problem, but having been the most used player this season, that is normal. I think it's the season where I've played the most minutes, and taking out this problem from training, I am at my best".
Madrid's manager, Zinedine Zidane, has already ruled out defender Raphael Varane, for the final match. He said, "The only major drawback, and that really is very serious, is Varane. He is now out for Saturday. He may not be ready in two or three weeks. It is less serious than we thought. He will travel, but will not play on Saturday".
"With regard to the selection, I hope he can play the Euros. It's a blow for him and I'm worried about him".
