3 Things Spurs Must Do In Order To Beat Monaco

In what appears a must-win match for Tottenham Hotspur tonight against Monaco, in order to guarantee qualification for the UCL next round, the team have their destiny in their own hands, and must strive to win tonight's game or loose crashing out of the competition, and instead head for second-rated Europa League.  In order to win convincingly, Spurs must do the following three things, and seal a victory against Monaco;

The Confederation of African Football (CAF), has announced the top five players shortlisted for the 2016 CAF African Player of the Year Award. The five-man list consists of last year's winner Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Algeria's Riyad Mahrez, Sadio Mane, Mohammed Salah of Egypt and Islam Slimani.

In what now appears a birth-right for Zlatan, who has won the Swedish Guldbollen (Golden Ball) for 10 consecutive years, and 11 times in total, it did not then come as a shock to most soccer fans that the Manchester United player, was once named the winner of this year's award.

It has emerged that Atletico Madrid midfielder, Koke, called Cristiano Ronaldo "a faggot" during the Madrid Derby last weekend. The match, was won by Real, with a 3-0 scoreline at the Vicente Calderon, with Ronaldo scoring all three goals.

Murray Ends The Year As World No. 1

Chelsea Tops League With Win Against Middlesbrough

A goal from Diego Costa, was more than enough to seal victory for Chelsea, and see them climb to the top of the EPL table. Middlesbrough, who were at home at the Riverside, were hopeful for a win in order to move out of the relegation zone, and also secure at least a goal; their first against Chelsea in ten years.

Steven Gerrard Departs LA Galaxy

Gerrard made 34 appearances for the MLS sideLos Angeles Galaxy, have confirmed that Steven Gerrard will not return to the club for the 2017 MLS season. The 36-year-old midfielder has been playing for the Galaxy for the past 18 months following his exit from Liverpool.  Earlier this week, Gerrard hinted about a possible exit from the MLS. Stating that his time in the United States, was coming to an end.

Injury Scare: Akpeyi Replaces Ikeme

Injury, has rocked the Super Eagles team, ahead of their clash against Algeria next week. The team's first choice goalkeeper; Carl Ikeme, is unavailable due to injury. His club, Wolverhampton Wanderers, wrote to the NFF, informing them of the goalkeepers's unavailability due to an injury he sustained during the club's match against Blackburn Rovers.

World Cup Trophy Sculptor, Gazzaniga Dies At 95

Italian Sculptor, Silvio Gazzaniga, who designed and created the current version of the FIFA World Cup trophy, has passed away. Gazzaniga, passed away in his sleep yesterday at the age of 95. Prior to his death, Gazzaniga has been battling a series of minor ailments.
