3 Things Spurs Must Do In Order To Beat Monaco
In what appears a must-win match for Tottenham Hotspur tonight against Monaco, in order to guarantee qualification for the UCL next round, the team have their destiny in their own hands, and must strive to win tonight's game or loose crashing out of the competition, and instead head for second-rated Europa League. In order to win convincingly, Spurs must do the following three things, and seal a victory against Monaco;
1. Avoid resting players for the weekend
Spurs are faced with yet another London derby when they take on Chelsea this weekend. Although, the match is also a crucial match, as Spurs have not won at Stamford Bridge for the past 26 years. Coach Roberto Pochettino is faced with the temptation of resting some players ahead of the Chelsea game, and set out a team that will fight to the last for an opportunity to make the knockout stages.
2. Play with more resolve than they did against West Ham
Spurs's ineffectiveness against West Ham last weekend for 89 minutes resulted in a lot of frustration for their supporters and the players as well. The team has talented players such as Lloris, Kane and Son; a combination that can beat Monaco, as long as the team plays with a more stronger resolve to win than they demonstrated over the weekend.
3. Make Harry Kane the play-maker
Tonight should be another opportunity for the player to demonstrate his effectiveness. Kane's two goals in the last minutes against West Ham turned defeat into victory for the team.
