Injury Scare: Akpeyi Replaces Ikeme

Injury, has rocked the Super Eagles team, ahead of their clash against Algeria next week. The team's first choice goalkeeper; Carl Ikeme, is unavailable due to injury. His club, Wolverhampton Wanderers, wrote to the NFF, informing them of the goalkeepers's unavailability due to an injury he sustained during the club's match against Blackburn Rovers. 
Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr, has invited goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi to camp, as a replacement for Ikeme. Akpeyi, plays for Chippa United in the Absa Premiership. Akpeyi, was a member of the U-20 team that finished as runners up at the 2005 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Holland, and was also part of the Dream Team VI, that won bronze at the Rio Olympics.
