Reports have emerged to indicate that Wayne Rooney, might possibly make a move to China before summer. The Daily Mirror, has claimed that United have given their blessings for the veteran forward to seal an impending move away from Old Trafford, and Rooney's agent Paul Stretford is on standby to thrash out a lucrative transfer to one of China's money-laden Super League sides.
SkySports, have however come out to contradict these claims, stating that; Rooney has no intention of upping sticks in favor of a move to China, despite having offers from a number of clubs on the other side of the World.
A source within Manchester United admitted that Rooney's future at United had been kept quiet until the England International managed to exceed Charlton's record, as this was a personal challenge to the player, but has now been overcome. The source is quoted as saying - ''Nothing could happen until Wayne beats Sir Bobby's United goal-scoring record. We all knew that once he's beaten that, the time would come to review his career here''.
