Real Madrid Set To Activate €70m Release Clause In De Gea's Contract

Manchester United v West Ham United - EFL Cup Quarter-FinalReal Madrid are still keen on Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea, as the club is prepared to make a deal for the Spanish no 1 goalkeeper, as long as they are willing to meet his £60m (€70m) release clause. This is being reported by Eduardo Inda, editor-in-chief of a Madrid-based media outlet OK Diario.
Inda is reporting that - All REal needs to do to complete the deal is to trigger the £60m release clause, a fee that would make De GEa by far the most expensive goalkeeper in history and almost double Gianlugi Buffon's longstanding record.  De Gea signed an extension with a clause €70m in the renewal. If Madrid are prepared to put up that money, they can take him for that price. The big question is to pay that amount for a goalkeeper, that has never been '' - Inda commented.
De Gea, has signed a contract extension that keeps him at Old TRafford toll 2019 with the option of an extension. This development, currently poses a threat to Madrid's interest, but it will be worth waiting to see what happens during the summer.
