Ibrahimovic Heads To United

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be reunited with Jose Mourinho at Manchester UnitedZlatan Ibrahimovic, has confirmed he will be joining Manchester United this summer. The Swedish International who put millions of football fans around the World out of their misery on Thursday, almost four weeks after the news of his impeding move to Old Trafford first broke out.
Ibrahimovic, posted a message on twitter, accompanied by a picture of United's badge - "Time to let the World know my next destination is Manchester United #iamcoming".

England Open To Hire A Foreign Manager

Following the shocking defeat and subsequent exit of the England National Team at the Euro 2016, the English Football Association, has admitted that they could replace Roy Hodgson with a foreign manager. Hodgson, who has however turned his resignation on Monday night after the team were dumped out of the competition by  Iceland, said he is glad for the time spent at the job, and therefore wishes to take a bow, and go his own path.

Lionel Messi has announced his retirement from International duty after missing in a penalty shootout as Argentina lost a fourth major final in nine years. In a statement after the Copa America Final, Messi said "For me, the national team is over. I've done all I can. It hurts not to be a champion".

Yobo To Join A Nigerian Professional League Club

Joseph-YoboFormer Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo, will sign for a Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) club, after reaching an agreement with the League Management Company(LMC).

According to the LMC, Yobo will be assigned to a club for the last 12 matches, under the NPFL, Elite Players Scheme.

Ibrahimovic Retires From International Football

Ibrahimovic4Zlatan Ibrahimovic has announced that he will retire from International football after Sweden's participation at Euro 2016.
The 34-year-old striker who was included in his country's provisional 35-man squad for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio this summer, also said he will not be available for the tournament. "The last game for Sweden, so I hope it will not be tomorrow", he told a press conference on Tuesday.

The family of the late Shuaibu Amodu, has announced that the 8th day Fidau prayer for the former technical director of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), will hold this Saturday, June 18th. 
Amodu passed on in his sleep last Saturday and was buried same day in his home town Okpella, in Edo State, according to Islamic rites.The Fidau prayer will hold at his Surulere, Lagos residence from 10am.

Their hopes were dashed on Wednesday, after Korea shocked Belarus 66-65 at the 2016 FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament in France. 
D'Tigress had bounced back from their opening day defeat to Belarus, by beating South Korea 70-69 on Tuesday in their second game. The win had given the Nigerian ladies hope of featuring at the Olympics.

Spain made an unconvincing start to their European Championship defense. Spain's defense started with a match against Czech Republic, in a match that saw the Czechs dominating for the better part of the game, having 72 percent of possession and carving out 18 shots on goal.
