Arsenal's forward, Alexis Sanchez, has been crowned the best player at the just concluded Copa America Centanario, after helping his country retain the trophy. Chile made it through as winners of the competition after overcoming Argentina 4-2 on penalties on Sunday night, after the game dragged on for 120 minutes goalless.
Alexis received the Golden Ball Award at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, following his fine performances in the USA. He scored three goals and provided four assists.
Chile captain and goalkeeper, Claudio Bravo took the Golden Glove for a second consecutive year. Meanwhile, Chile forward Eduardo Vargas won the Golden Boot, having topped the goalscoring charts with six goals.
