Paul Le Guen "Favorite" To Become Next Super Eagles Coach


Following the departure of Coach Sunday Oliseh from the Coaching job of the super eagles of Nigeria, speculations have arisen from different quarters as regards the right person to take over the job. Different names have been linked to the job, including Harry Redknapp, Henrique Calisto, Aleksandar Rogic, Milutin Sredojevic, former Cameroon coach Paul Le Guen,  and one time coach of the super eagles,Clemens Westerhof.

Amongst all the big names mentioned, the Nigerian Football Federation has picked out Paul Le Guen as a favorite candidate for the job. The NFF, on Wednesday said that "Le Guen is right at this moment gaining the upper hand above the less experienced Serbians earlier foured for the job". However, he refused to rule out at last-minute shift in palns, saying -"Right at this moment, the screening and meetings are ongoing and the new coach can not be announced until these screenings are concluded.
In the event that Le Guen is picked for the job, he will be paid N16.2million naira, as against his predecessor, Sunday Oliseh who was earning 5million Naira monthly.
