After much speculations, Jamie Vardy has decided to remain at Leicester City. Vardy was approached at the beginning of the transfer window by Arsenal, who proceeded to meet his £20 million release clause and hoped for an answer from the striker prior to the start of Euro 2016.
This news is regarded as a sad one for Arsenal players, who have geared up to the arrival of Vardy at the Emirates Stadium. Vardy who was unwilling to take a decision on his future before jetting out to France for the Euro 2016, has now opted to remain with the Premier League champions.
"Leicester City, have today(Thursday), agreed with the representatives of Jamie Vardy to extend the England International's contract with the Premier League champions for another four years.
"Both parties hope that this announcement will end recent speculations regarding Jamie's future and confirm his long term commitment to Leicester City Football Club".
