Depay Transfer, Almost Sealed - Lyon President

The deal for Memphis Depay to join Lyon, is almost completed, says club president Jean-Michel Aulas. Sky Sports News, are reporting that Manchester United have agreed to sell Depay to the french club for a fee which could rise to £21.7m, and will also include a buy-back option as well as sell-on clauses. 

Depay, has failed to live up to expectations at Old Trafford since moving for £25 in 2015, making just one start under Jose Mourinho this season. Ahead of the move, Lyon president Aulas, who is confident that the transfer will be wrapped up, said the club is taking a gamble. In his words - ''We've bet on a player who wants to show his immense talent. There was a lot of interest in him from his time with Holland and in Eindhoven, where he had two fantastic seasons. When you see him developing, you get the impression that he really wants to show his immense talent. So we hope, as we hoped with the women's team by bringing in Alex Morgan (US Women's International), and we are not disappointed.
