Wayne Rooney Is Just As Good As Ronaldo And Messi

Wayne Rooney is just as good as the duo of Ronaldo and Messi, new statistics have showed. Rooney, who burst into the football scene, when he was signed by Manchester United in the summer of 2004 for £25.6. Upon his signing, he was tipped to become the greatest player in the history of the World. But given the potential he displayed in his teens and early 20s, the World would agree that the player failed therefore in fulfilling this promise.

Considering Rooney was tipped to become the World's greatest, one would assume that the player, would have been competing for individual  honors just like Messi and Ronaldo, but instead, the past 15years for Rooney and his fans were crowded with thoughts of what might have been. 

Following Rooney's career, and new statistics that were recently reviewed, one would see that Rooney, became England's leading goalscorer of all time in 2016, and just last weekend, he surpassed Bobby Charlton's 44-year old record with his 250th goal for Man United. This feat, many past United players have deemed to be one that would take a very long time again to surpass. 

Statistics, have also showed and listed Rooney as one of the players to hold both Club and Country goal scoring records, alongside Ronaldo and Messi. Rooney has 250 goals for Club, and 53 for country England. Messi has 481 for Barcelona and 57 for Argentina, while Cristiano Ronaldo boasts of 382 for Real Madrid, and 68 for Portugal. 

The question now is, ''Is Rooney not one of the greatest footballers in the World'' ?
