Arsenal Manager, Arsene Wenger, has insisted he will not stop Alex Iwobi from playing for Nigeria at this year's Olympic Games in Rio.
The competition, runs from August 3rd - 20th, and could see the youngster miss the start of the 2016/2017 season, but Wenger is not ready to block his participation.
" He had the choice between England and Nigeria and in the end he chose Nigeria". Wenger told reporters ahead of the Gunners clash against West Ham.
" We respect that, and also the possibility that he will go to the Olympic Games, and travel a bit more than he would have done here".
Wenger also confirmed that the 19-year-old is in talks with the club, to sign a new deal that will see him earn around £30,000 per week.
