Leicester City's Riyad Mahrez, has been named the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) Player of the year.
The Algerian has scored 16 goals and made 11 assists, as Claudio Ranieri's men continue to lead the Premier League table with just three games left to play.
Mahrez, 25, pipped his team-mates Jamie Vardy and N'Golo Kante to the award.
he dedicated the award to his father, before adding:
"It's extra special because if the players vote for, its because they've seen I've been great this year, so I'm happy. Without my team-mates, I wouldn't get this award.
" We are like brothers, it's everywhere on the pitch. That's our strength".
" If sometimes we are not good, we know we are getting to run and make efforts for our team-mates. That is the secret of our success".
Mahrez now becomes the first African and Leicester player to win the prize.
Dele Alli, who has enjoyed a sparkling campaign for Tottenham Hotspur, also took home the award for Young Player of the year.
