South American football power house, Argentina has recaptured its number one position in the monthly FIFA rankings released on Thursday, April 6th. In Thursday's rankings, Argentina displaced Belgium, while Copa America champions, Chile rose to an all-time high to occupy the third place.
Having won all three of their 2018 World cup qualifiers, Argentina returned to the top, just five months after they were supplanted by Belgium.
The rankings saw Chile which was formerly occupying the 5th position move to 3rd place, while Colombia climbed from 8th to 4th and also Uruguay move back into the top 10 having started their South American qualifiers strongly.
