Arsenal Completes Signing Of Kelechi Nwakali

Photo published for Kelechi Nwakali joins Arsenal AcademyArsenal have finally officially completed the signing of 18-year-old Nigerian starlet, Kelechi Nwakali. The teenage midfielder will be joining the Gunners academy to continue his development as a young professional footballer. The club, has also revealed that they are currently working on a loan move to help Nwakali gain experience in a first-team environment in the coming months. 

Bale, Ronaldo, Griezmann For UEFA Best Player Award

rolnGareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Antoine Griezmann have been shortlisted for the UEFA Best Player in Europe Award. The final shortlisted names were released today, with Messi out of the list. The Award was won last year by Lionel Messi.
Ronaldo has been tipped as favorite to win the Award, after he led Real Madrid to their 11th Champions League win in the 2015/2016 season, before winning the EUROs with his country Portugal. 

Jetlaged Dream Team VI Beats Japan 5-4

The match which was played at 2am Nigeria time today, saw the Dream Team fighting off jetlag and winning against all odds. The team which arrived in Manaus Brazil seven hours before their opening Group B fixture, as a result of travel issues, put up an impressive performance to overcome the Asian champions.

Nike Unveils New Jersey For Nigeria

Nike, the kit sponsor for Nigeria's football teams, has unveiled new jersey designs for Nigeria's national teams. The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Tuesday confirmed that the new kits will be launched by the Dream Team at this year's Olympics. The Super Eagles, will also wear the new kits for their 2018 World Cup qualifiers, which begins with a trip to Zambia on October 3rd. 

The Olympic Torch ; Fulfilling Dreams


As the Olympic Torch relay continues it's passage through Rio in Brazil, and nears it's final destination on Friday, several athletes from around the World, have been giving a dream fulfillment opportunity of carrying the torch. Amongst these athletes, is the moving story of  Mark O'Brien, a 13-year old from Ireland, who missed out on the opportunity to carry the torch at London 2012, after he fell sick with an illness that attacked his immune system. 

Dream Team IV Fails To Fly Out To Brazil

The Nigeria's U-23 team (Dream Team IV), on Monday, failed to depart for Brazil from Atlanta, USA. This is the second time the Olympic team, have failed to leave for Brazil for the Games, owing to the team's inability to get flight tickets.
