My Portugal Dream, Getting Closer - Ronaldo

Joy for Ronaldo after converting his penalty in the shoot-out against Poland in MarseilleCristiano Ronaldo moved closer to his "dream" of finally landing Portugal a major International title after edging past Poland 5-3 on penalties on Thursday night, at the Euro 2016 Quarter-final match in Marseille. Ronaldo endured another frustrating game, as he still could not find the back of the net in several attempts. His quest asides getting his country into the finals, also involves his individual best at equalling Michel Platini's record of nine Euro final goals.

As the match progressed, his frustration became evident, as he struggled all through to find the back of the net. The match progressed with both teams being able to level 1-1 with  goals from Lewandowski and Renato Sanches, and dragged the match for 120 minutes, and a penalty shootout followed.
Ronaldo netted in his penalty and edged Portugal towards victory, while Jakub Blaszczykowksi's penalty, the fourth for Poland, was brilliantly saved by Rui Patricio, allowing Ricardo Quaresma to send Portugal into the last four of the competition.
Ronaldo's career is described as a "privileged" career, having won three Champions League titles and three World Player of the Year Awards.
"The dream is getting closer and anything can happen now. I'm not missing anything (in honors) and even if my career finished today, I would still feel privileged" "But I've always said, and I don't hide it, that I would love to win a title with the national team. We're on the right road" - The Real Madrid star is quoted as saying.
