Claudio Bravo, is set to join Manchester City in a deal valued at £17m. The Barcelona goalkeeper, is expected in Manchester on Thursday to finalize his move to City, now headed by Pep Guardiola.
Barcelona, as replacement, have agreed a deal wit Ajax to sign Jasper Cillessen, paving a way for the Chilean goalkeeper (Bravo) to complete his move to City. Barcelona, announced on Saturday that an agreement was in place with City to sell Bravo, who has been their first choice since he joined from Real Sociedad in 2014, with a medical and a finalization of personal terms yet to come.
Guardiola's desire to sign Bravo, has cast doubt on the future of England's number one goalie, and this move is seen as a bid to trigger an exit from Joe Hart, who has been left on the bench for City's opening Premier League matches of the season, with Guardiola preferring Willy Caballero for victories over Sunderland and Stoke City, and the new manager said on Friday that Hart is free to leave if he wishes.
Everton, Sevilla and Borussia Dortmund, have all expressed interests in Hart, in the event he is open to a move, especially a move abroad, having told the club he wishes to end his 10-year spell at the Etihad.
