For a country with a global reputation as a party town, the expectation for Rio 2016 is high, and the city that is famous for its extravagant carnival celebrations is going all out to bring the same spirit to the Olympic Games.
Spectators going to Rio, will be getting more than just sporting show with special attractions at many of the 32 venues. "The setting is fantastic, says Eduardo Paes, the mayor of Rio de Janeiro. "During the Games, it will be the meeting point for people from all the World".
The organizers of this year's Games, have been able to fully utilize interactive technology to bring about full enjoyment of the Games to its multiple spectators.
Different display sites have also been created for the purpose of the Games to showcase the Brazilian culture. "We're sure we're going to spread the Olympic spirit through the whole city" - says Antonio Pedro. "We're going to show off the party that Rio is famous for".
With this preparation, one can definitely say that Rio is indeed ready to shock the World.
