Nigeria's U-23 team, were in the early hours of this morning, defeated 2-0 by Colombia in their Group B fixture in the on-going 2016 Rio Olympic Games. The match, started with the Dream Team struggling through the first half, as they found it difficult to cope with the fast pace of the Colombians.
The Colombian captain Teofilo Gutierrez, pounced on a pass from Diego Pabon, and opened scoring in the first half. Pabon also converted from the penalty spot late on in the match, to ensure his team joined Nigeria in the quarter-finals.
With this result, Siasia's men, will now play Denmark in the next round, while Colombia will play Brazil.
