What Happens To Nigeria's Hope Of An Olympic Gold Medal ?

Nigeria's hopes of winning at least one Gold medal in the on-going Rio 2016 Olympic Games, now seems to be clouded in a shadow of doubt. This is following the Dream Team VI's failure to book a place in the finals of the men's football event on Wednesday night.
The Dream Team, lost to Germany 2-0 in the semi-final clash. With this, the Dream Team, will now play Honduras in their third place match, while Germany take on Brazil in the final of the mes's competition.
It is also worthy of note that Team Nigeria's Athletes (Male and Female), have all crashed out of both the 100m and 200m races respectively.
Ejowvokoghene Oduduru - who finished second in Heat 9, behind Jamaica's Usain Bolt in time of 20.34 seconds to reach semi-final, couldn't secure a a spot in the 200m final. He finished in seventh place with a time of 20.59 seconds in the second semi-final.
Blessing Okagbare - Nigeria's fastest woman, fell out of contention in the women's 200m after finishing fifth in the semi-finals.

Efe Ajabga - The Nigerian boxer, suffered a quarter-final knockout by Ivan Dychko in the men's super-heavy over 91kg category.
